WhatsApp to soon get animated stickers based on user avatars

More Avatar Stickers have been added to the WhatsApp app, according to the company. The software can now automatically create an avatar of a user using their selfie. However, it appears that WhatsApp will soon be getting more avatar-related capabilities. WABetaInfo claims that WhatsApp intends to integrate animated avatar stickers into its messaging service.

The upcoming function was discovered in WhatsApp for Android’s beta release (v2.23.15.6). Because the animated avatar stickers are dynamic and feel more vivid, they encourage more expressive dialogue and make conversations more enjoyable. This feature is demonstrated in a video by WABetaInfo, and as you can see, it is incredibly simple to use. Animated stickers themed with your avatar will be available once you’ve created your avatar in the app’s avatars area by tapping on it.

The magazine claims that there are no stability problems with animated avatar stickers in the app’s beta version. It suggests that WhatsApp might soon add this functionality to the stable version of the application. However, it is currently unknown when the general public will be able to use this service.

When WhatsApp adopts this functionality, users may also use Meta Avatars to appear on video calls, a function that Meta only yesterday announced for Instagram and Messenger video chats.
